Rinker Materials must submit the new, proposed Reclamation Plan (and related documents such as a SEPA Checklist, SM-6, and Geotechnical Evaluation) to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). See my June 21 and July 11 editorials. May or may not be relevant to the MXGP proposal.

The Snohomish County Council has a public meeting on the County's Unified Development Code (UDC). The UDC is an integrated set of standards that regulate building and land development within unincorporated areas of Snohomish County. So yes, the UDC is relevant to those in the Maltby area. The public kick-off meeting will be held at the Snohomish County Campus, East Administration Building, Public Meeting Room 1, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett.

The Snohomish County Council has a public meeting on a final docket of proposed amendments and revisions to the Growth Management Act Comprehensive Plan. Two items of interest to those in the Maltby area:
  • Incorporation Committee for the City of Maltby.
  • Rinker Materials wants to remove the MRO designation from their site on Yew Way.
Details are here. The public meeting will be held at the Snohomish County Administration Building (East), 1st floor Public Meeting Room, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett.

Update: See my May 17 editorial on this.
