Dear Mr. Erik Olson,

I am writing to state my opposition to the proposed MXGP motor cross track at
Yew Way in Maltby.  This is File Number 06-102142-LU.

As a resident of Maltby, I am opposed to this track because of the noise and
traffic that would become a nuisance to our neighborhoods.  Motor cross is an
extremely loud sport.  The noise created by motor cross bikes racing on this
track would exceed the rural noise limits.  This would forever change our quiet
life in Maltby.  Families would not be able to enjoy their own backyards
without hearing the constant whine of motor cross bikes.

The proposed track would attract a far greater number of people to the area
than our roads were designed to manage.  MXGP reported that 35,000 people used
their facility in Monroe last year.  The rural Malbty area roads cannot
accommodate this number of vehicles. MXGP has planned 84 parking places for
their site.  Races in the past have attracted hundreds of participants and
thousands of fans.  Where will all these people park?  The road of the proposed
site, Yew Way, has no shoulder.  It would be very unsafe to have any people
park on this road, not to mention the number of projected cars this would
attract.

I hope that you will listen to the residents of Maltby that see this
track threatening our quiet residential neighborhoods.  Please do not let the
interest of a few motor cross fans ruin our way of life in Maltby.
