An interesting analysis of one proposal document
has been added here. Thanks to a Maltby
resident for identifying this interesting difference in
scale on the engineering documents.
Many people feel that the use of a single scale
would provide a better perspective
of the berms relative to the overall width of the basin.
The berms are the only proposed noise-containment mechanism.
Use the Rotate
and Zoom features of Adobe Acrobat Reader
when viewing these documents.
UPDATE: I checked with a WA State Engineering/DOL group and
these documents are fine by their standards.
Apparently it is the norm in several
industries to intentionally exaggerate the vertical scale
(so long as both scales are shown on the document).
Use this Snohomish County website to review the status of the
MXGP proposal.
Do NOT assume that the MXGP proposal is approved or rejected
on the basis of a single phase or document.
